Leicester_H
I'd just like to publically thanks Snowy for coming round (again) and fiting bumper bits to 2 of my lot - we paid more attention this time and we think we could do it next time (we tried last week and Lily got it off within one minute!). Lily really wasn't keen on whole process and wriggled and squirmed like crazy!! Didn't know where to post this - decided here as about hens - but feel free to move/delete. Boo was bumper bitted because of pecking/serious bullying of Smokie. She is sulking a bit but not too bad (she has been bumper bitted before) Lily is quite subdued and make a big show of not being able to eat her pellets in front of me. I feel VERY guilty - but she was pulling LOADS of feather out of poor Smokie. I plan to tempt them with some sweet corn this afternoon - I'm sure she won't be able to resist. Then, hopefully, when Smokie has more feathers (and no wounds) I can try re-introductions (again!). H
Purplemaniacs
Well done Snowy Hazel, I hope things settle down now and that Boo and Lily stop sulking Chrissie
Snowy
Aww, thanks Hazel, it was no problem! I hope Lily stops sulking and starts eating soon - she is a feisty little madam isn't she?
Olly
Well done Snowy! If I pay your fare from Leicestershire, will you come and do mine? Bumper bits are a last resort for me, but worth the hassle - at the moment I'm trying the hideous Ukadex again :vom:but may have to resort to bits. My friend's daughter is training to be a nurse, and apparently she's brilliant at fitting them, so I may have to get her over.
Leicester_H
- she is a feisty little madam isn't she? Glad you thought so too!!!!!!!!!! Actually, today she seemed a bit friendlier than usual - I managed to stroke her twice while they were out FR - this is VERY unusual - maybe she now sees me as top chuck - and was hanging around me for 'street cred' ?! Boo is now in second run (on her own) and quite subdued. She was still chasing Smokie when out - she will have to remain in the 2nd run until she learns not to be EVIL Boo !! I still don't know why, after 10 weeks happily living together, she has reverted to being EVIL Boo ?? Just chickens, I guess................
