im getting my cube on tuesday but still dont have my wir ready ,how many chickens can i get in the cube with a standard run ,im just trying to work out if i will need a extention

 

any ideas ?

 

sorry for all my questions im quite new to all this and jsut want to get things right

I'd say two or three but I dont have a cube so no direct experience

Omlet say 6. I'd say 3 or 4 max , unless they have the opportunity to free range, and then you might get away with six.

I originally had six in a standard run with extension and I felt that they were cramped and so I bought another extension. I'd say 3 to 4 as well.

so you think my 4 will be ok till i get my run built ?

i dont really want to pay out for a extention when i can spend it on my WIR instead lol

and maybe a couple for chooks lol im getting a bit obsessed lol

I had 4 in a Standard run, and they were OK although it was tight. Hence why I had my WIR built.

 

I would say it would be fine whilst the run is being built.

I've got 4 hybrids in mine and they are fine but they do come out for an hour or two each day and they do get on very well together generally.
