Flubenvet in France ?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

Can anyone tell me why Flubenvet supplyers won't send it to us in France ? we pick up four hens on saturday and being responsible owners, we want to make sure our girlies stay in the best of health. I have managed to order red mite powder and spray along with a good brand of insecticide/disinfectant and they are happy to send these over to us, but not the Flubenvet. Do I need to take the girlies to the vet to obtain a wormer ?

I know a couple of the forum members live in France, if any of you are logging in, what you do about worming ? It's no use asking locals - most of the chicken houses round here never get cleaned out, let alone the chickens getting wormed  We just want to do the best for our girls, they have a lovely new hen-house with attached run inside an even bigger fenced run and they will be allowed to free range in our 1,300 sq mtr garden :)

Any answers will be gratefully received. :anxious:

You could try www.wormers.co.uk they don't have France down as a standard shipping destination in their dropdown at checkout but I think this may be a mistake. There is the option in the dropdown however that allows 'none of the above'. This does make shipping rather expensive though. I would email them to ask if they can add France to their shipping destinations as as far as I am aware French regulations are the same as the rest of Europe.

Hi Chucky Mama,

I did order from wormers.co.uk and as you say the postage is expensive, we were more than happy to pay more for the postage than the Flubenvet cost just to get the stuff. The order was accepted in the "other destinations" dropdown, but I then received an e-mail from them saying they cannot supply to France. I think every other european country is in the dropdown except France (just our luck!) we just want to be responsible owners :( I think it's going to be a trip to our local vet. Many thanks for the responses though, it's lovely to have somewhere to get support from fellow owners.

Hi,

Try http://www.medicanimal.com

I get all my stuff from them for my dog, cats and my girls. You can also ask them anything and they have a vet available for questions they can't answer. oh and you can pay in Euros (although the rate is questionable).

They are based in London but are a lot cheaper than vets. (ie dog wormer 1/7th of the cost for the same make !)
