Really dissapointed!

Recommended Posts

Hi guys!

Me and two friends are hoping to go away for five days at the end of July. We have tried countless caravan parks, and contacted several apartment owners, but none of them will take us because of 'problems they have encountered in the past with young people'. :(

This makes me feel so sad, because not all 16 and 17 year olds are thugs that want to drink and do drugs and ruin holiday houses!! I understand they may have had problems with young people in the past, but not all people my age are horrible. I hate this terrible stereotype that people seem to have of teenagers and young people. I just don't understand it!

And I got turned down to go to a twelve film at the cinema yesterday, because I apparentely I didn't look 15, and I didn't have ID! I just don't understand the logic in that! So I brought myself shoes to cheer myself up! :D:wink:

Thanks for listening to my rant!

Lots of love,

Megan

I know how you feel :( . All the shops near my old school didn't allow kids in just because one person stole a chicken from Morrisons.

The other day I was also banned from going to the cinema, apparently I didn't look 12 (I'm 13!) I Honestly! What do they expect us to do? Walk around with our passports everywhere we go? For some reason my Oyster card wasn't a good enough form of identification. :x

I understand how you feel Megan, it really isn't fair. People do tar all young people with the same brush. Everyone wearing a hoodie must be a hooligan and all teenagers in a group are going to mug someone or do drugs  They seem to ignore all of those behaving themselves. The media doesn't help as it always portrays young people as the villans of the peace. My children always hold doors open for people and stand aside to let people pass etc but almost no one thanks them. They would be quick to have a go if they didn't do it though
