Baytril

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I have read the post on egg withdrawal for various antibiotics, but I am still a little unclear on the times.

My vet just said 6-7 WEEKS when I asked her to clarify it for me, but I'm sure when I was first perscribed it for my chook with sour crop it was 7 DAYS. ....... so we ate them again after 10 days :vom:

I would have been none the wiser if it wasn't for another discussion I have been having on the forem.

Anyone else been told a different egg withdrawal?

The locked post I just read, said Baytril wasn't licensed for egg producing chickens, granted mine are part of the family foremost, but I hate throwing the eggs away :(

Any comments welcome!

Hi Vickichicky,

Our vet said 7days, and ours tasted fine after that.

Sorry that you recently lost one of your girls - we lost one the day before :(

Stacey

Sorry to hear about your loss too Stacey - It's hard isn't it. I send you a (hug).

Thanks to you all for your replies, I feel much better now - we didn't notice anything odd about them at all and felt fine after eating them.

 Thanks again
