Panic over

Recommended Posts

Why do they do it!

they make you panic about them all the time!

Betty our buff orp came to us about a week and a half ago. 2 days after getting her i noticed her gaping once or twice.

I started her on a Flubvent and did all the others at the same time, 3 days later still no improvment, worse if anything... starting to worry now..

I book a vet for the next day as she is gurgling as she breathes as well... really worrying now.. but she seems happy, will eat treats but not really interested in pellets.

the vet examins her and thinks there is alot of mucus which is where thegurgling is coming from, so a corse of antibiotics .. not baytril as he wanted something stronger (btw i am alergic to these new pills so i have to glove up)

took her to a follow up last night after still no improvment,

I mentioned to Him that i had noticed something under her tounge that i thought may be a worm but i wasnt sure. I only spotted it because i was forcing down antibiotics!

he looked took out a pair of sissors and tweesers, then handed me an elastic band! it was stuck on her and she couldnt get rid of it! hence the gaping, extra mucus, not really wanting to eat..

Dam stupid chicken!
