Aggienator
We have finally got round to fencing the girls off at the bottom of the garden and moved their . Went to shut them in tonight and they were pacing up and down trying to get to where used to be, although the could see it right beside them, and they could see where it used to be and it wasn't there! They are lovely, but not very bright Cheers Aggie
Burtie14
Mine are the same. They're lovely, but goodness me they're bird-brained.
Forge Cottage
We move the eglu within our 25m electric netting pen every week - and move the pen itself every two or three weeks, rotating the four corners of the garden to give the grass a rest. Nearly two years later we do still have a lawn (but yes it does have holes in it!). They have got used to the routine. Whichever way round the eglu and run end up, they figure it out after a daft day or two! Their prime focus seems to be where we are in relation to them, so they like it when they are set in a corner nearest the house and dislike it if their house is facing away in the far corner of the garden. I think they would move into our house if we let them. I reckon they will get used to it quite soon... If not, maybe try the torch in the house trick. Daffodill
Mine seem to forget where the entrance to the run is most evenings and spend time walking all the way round looking up at the cube trying to find another way in until they finally come across the DOOR OMG who put that there

They're lovely, but goodness me they're bird-brained. So true. We love our girls to bits but they're not the sharpest sticks in the pile. Though I feel myself bristle a bit, and have to bite my tongue, if anyone says they are stupid
