Men in white coats needed!

Recommended Posts

I have now been a chicken mom for 2months and have mastered the art of "bokking" to get girls back into run when I have to leave to pick up son from school - impressive it is too. :D However this morning as I passed the cat in the hall I bokked a her  she gave me a look she reserves for lower life forms  Help - I think the time has come to put me away. I am sure I am not the only loony CM on here. I need to be reassured its not just me

You are not alone  .........any friends who happen to be here when I have to put the chooks away are invariably in stitches as they come steaming towards me from wherever they've been scratching & scrabbling in a flurry of feathers & squawks......all I do is "bok bok BOK", I don't even need to rattle the corn any more

And do you manage to get chooks into any conversation.....and squeal "chickens" if ever you see one, either real or painted  ...I even managed to fit "chickens" into the ABBA hit Dancing Queen............."ooooo see that girl, watch that scene, chicken the dancing queen"............I have never lived it down and we (DD & I) always sing that variation now :lol::lol::lol:

I think my straight jacket has been measured up..................

I talk to mine....ask them how their day has been and what they have eaten etc.

My neighbours thought I had puppies in because we have a dog but then they laugh that I have been talking and calling the chickens over.

It doesn't help that one of my friends lives like 2 doors away behind me and she looks over the tiny bit of the fence of ours thats in hers and says 'Rhys stop talking to you chickens they can't understand' and as she says this the chickens sit and give her evils and then jump up at eye level to see her. I had to say sorry the other day because bob had runny porjectile poo and my friend got it all over her.

I've been doing all of those for many years now - people just ignore me

Rosie and I even managed to (quietly) squeal 'chickens' when going round the Palace of Versailles!
