What sex do you think these chicks are? Update

Recommended Posts

These are my babies who will be four weeks old on Monday. I think I have two boys and a girl - what do you think? They are silver pencil laced wyandotte bantams.

the best way to see is face on pics but from these side on views I'd say two boys and a girl

When looking at them face on the boys have a wider area for the comb, the girls have a narrower area

By a few weeks the boys are more obviously chunkier and have thicker legs too

Not sure still, not much of a tail yet and so far only one with a set of mini wattles. Although there was a bit of sparing today (flapping at each other). I am hoping 1 boy and two girls, but ????? I will post some more pics when they have grown a bit more.

I think I have two little girls and a boy, which I am quite pleased about. The chicks are nearly 5 weeks old, and only one has an obvious set of wattles, the others you can't see unless you hold them up close! Also my boy? seems to enjoy a bit of rough and tough fly fighting with his sister?. I will pop a picture on again soon so you can have a look at them! I have emailed a breeder who said the flight feathers should be black on boys and pencilled on girls, which also reinforces my feeling of two girlies!
