Hayfever medication

Recommended Posts

I just use good old piriton, works fine for me and I have never suffered from drowsyness.

:shock:

I don't normally get bothered by hayfever but have been showing some symptoms in the last few days so popped a piriton this morning. I am still walking around like a sleep deprived wobbly Zombie.... never again awful stuff :!:

I've taken them since I was 6 or 7 and they have never made me drowsy :D Funny how people react differently to drugs. I was recently in hospital with a pca attached, I was told the morphine made you feel funny but it had no effect on me whatsoever, much to my disappointment :?

Ah now morphine :D:D that's the stuff :D:D:D:D

Sorry mods :oops::oops::oops:

Thanks for the tip, will try neo Clartyn next time I see the Doc.

Honey makes me retch and can't get local stuff here anyway. It always sells out so quickly in the garden centre. Drinking elderflower cordial is supposed to work too, but even though I am drinking gallons of the stuff, I am still sneezing. My season should be over by now - tree pollen - but still a sneezing, itchy eyed wreck :lol::lol::lol:

YS (12) has been put on Beclometasone nasal spray and cetirizinehydrochloride, he used to be on loratadine but didn't seem to be helping at all this year.

The doctor said that sometimes the normal medicine doesn't work and you have to try a different one for that year, then the next year it might be ok again.

It finally seems to have started to help with YS, he doesn't look quite so stuffed up or puffy. I take loratadine for my mild hayfever.
