5 more days to go...

.... until I can eat chocolate (and chocolate related products) again.

Oh boy - bring it on! I have planned the Easter Sunday menu already - pancakes with chocolate ganache sauce for breakfast, pan-fried lamb chops with an assortment of roasted veg, and a molten chocolate pudding with cream, and then for tea - chocolate!

I sooo have missed it. I know its predicatable, and that we are supposed to give up something meaningful but in my tiny world, chocolate IS meaningful.

What has everyone else done for Lent?

My friend the vicar told me we should add something for Lent, to enrich the world, not take something away, but I explained I was trying NOT to add another stone, so I think he understands.

I gave up sweets and cakes. I must admit I have had a couple of blips... Since the vicar at grannie's church told the congregation that lent didn't include sundays (you can have a day off a week) - do the maths and it does add up - 40 days and 40 nights!!! I have been okay on cake but put my hands up to a few sweets!!
