Hellcat
.... until I can eat chocolate (and chocolate related products) again. Oh boy - bring it on! I have planned the Easter Sunday menu already - pancakes with chocolate ganache sauce for breakfast, pan-fried lamb chops with an assortment of roasted veg, and a molten chocolate pudding with cream, and then for tea - chocolate! I sooo have missed it. I know its predicatable, and that we are supposed to give up something meaningful but in my tiny world, chocolate IS meaningful. What has everyone else done for Lent? My friend the vicar told me we should add something for Lent, to enrich the world, not take something away, but I explained I was trying NOT to add another stone, so I think he understands. AnnieP
I have given up alcohol, and the money saved is going towards the Mark 3!
Hellcat
I never thought of that! If I'd potted all the money I saved on chocolate, chocolate biccies, cake, and all related things, I could have saved up a fortune. Mind you, its not reduced the waistline at all. AnnieP
Helen, I have cut down from drinking half a bottle of wine a night in January, to total abstinance for Lent. I haven't lost a measly pound since Christmas. Don't beat yourself up about it!
Hellcat
Ah, but you have added pounds to the Mark 3 fund. We are very lucky to have worked some shows last year and have some cash in the Omlet bank...

Chicken Licken
I gave up sweets and cakes. I must admit I have had a couple of blips... Since the vicar at grannie's church told the congregation that lent didn't include sundays (you can have a day off a week) - do the maths and it does add up - 40 days and 40 nights!!! I have been okay on cake but put my hands up to a few sweets!!
