Guest
My Lavender pekin Lavender is mental. I go to shut their shed every night and she is standing outside until it goes dark and if I try to put her in the shed she goes mental. She is a good guard chicken for the other pekin's. I have a feeling that in August when they go in with the bigger girls they are going to have some big dominance problems.
Mollie333
Effy used to be like that, untill she went broody, now just attacks everything in sight.

Guest
I have it isn't red mite she literally stands guard because she is the biggest. Over protective of the others.

Exactly the same as my Olive.......shes broody at the moment and I thought I had hormone issues with PMT!!!!! She is just evil.....she even fronts up to the cockerel. Guest
They were practicing flying today. Which set off the marsh daisy's and then got bob outside to tell them off. Even though she can't get to them.
Chook n Boo Mum
Little bird....big attitude If my Pekins go in for the attack they are very feisty......if they are caught out by Snowdrop, who as an Amber Star is at least twice if not 3 times their size, they become gibbering bundles of terrified feathers & run to me for protection And they are badtempered little whatnots when broody Sha x
Guest
Oh trust me all my birds are scared of Bob. Even though when it was just 3 birds she was bottom chook. Betty love her and they are so close but no one messes with Bob. Even behind the chicken wire. I think pekin's should be a mandatory bird to have someone has to have at least 2 while keep chooks
