Chicken boarders

Hey all,

My two buff orpington chicks are 12 weeks old and I still dont know what sex they are! Any suggestions? I think orp 1 is a girl and orp 2 is a boy, but I'm probably wrong, I can't even sex a pekin! (sorry the pictures are a bit big)

I'd say both boys purely because my gold laced orp female didnt have that amount of face furniture even at 20 weeks

 

In saying that I now know that different colours within the breeds are harder to sex than others for example I can tell if my barred wyandottes are boys or girls at about 4 weeks but I have a silver laced thats now 7 weeks that I keep changing my mind on!

They'll start trying in the next few weeks I'd guess - Orps arent the fastest maturing birds
