lotz2612
Well...my 1st attempt was disasterous...2 half formed dead chicks and the other eggs werent even fertilised...useless cockrals...make a whole lot of noise but dont actually DO anything! So we've started again with fresh eggs last night. But this time...i am going to candle them BEFORE day 33!!!!! How often should I candle them? Once a week? Twice a week? craftyhunnypie
I candle at 8 days - then check again at about 12 days. I then leave well alone. 33 days - what are you hatching? Hen eggs are 21 days - sometimes 22 / 23 . Ducks are 28 - are you hatching ducks? Or ostriches even? Emma.x
