Snoxy
Good morning I would like to introduce Minnie (named by Ellin...she is 'into' Minnie Mouse at the moment!) and Olive (named by DH...keeping with the 'old-fashioned ladies names!)...they are Goldlines. They are gorgeous girls and so friendly...just like everyone said they would be Minnie Olive

Snoxy
Spooky...I was tempted by Joan...it is one of my Mum's aunties names I have a friend named Ruth...great name for a chicken too Nearly chose Edna...my Nan's sister's name...and a lovely lady but DH got in there first this time and chose Olive...and as I have chosen most of the names I can't begrude him that Daphne is named after MIL and Robyn (Robin FIL...he was a little put out when I let Daphne choose a chicken and name it after herself) Phoebe is named after my bestfriends daughter...as I promised I would name one after her Mildred, Gertrude, Violet, Clara are all named after Grandma's Christian, No. 3 son named Lulu as his original chicken, Princess Leia passed away Edited July 3, 2010 by Guest

Gelbel
we also have a ruth, which I think is a fab chicken name! My brother has a Ruth, and a Pam and a Mary - which happens to be our Mum's name and that of her 2 sisters. And by some miracle of Mother Nature each chook is rather similar in looks and charateristics to their human namesake.
cooker
Theres some fab name ideas in this thread!! I did want helen, but I have a friend called helen and dont think she would appreciate it! I should note, our chicken names have two very distinct themes...my boyfriend named nugget, soup, hot rod and 'the colonel'...all girls! neighbours think Im mad.....'hot rod come here!!!'...I tried to veto but failed! hot rod doesnt seem to mind! rachel
