More Info On My Hatch *Updated*

Recommended Posts

Hello ,

Well i decided to put a humidity gage in my incubator this time ... And today is day 21 and there is a japanese egg rocking with a crack in it and my dad text me and said the humidity has just reached 75 ... So i said quickly drop it , so he did and it is now around 50 - 55 % is this ok or do you think that they could of drowned in the egg by now :(

Thanks :D(hatch)

Well day 22 ...

And still nothing :(

There is just a really big crack/hole in the japanese egg ...

(That picture was took through the incubator by the way)

But its been like that since yesterday and there is only the odd little moment ...

Everything sound ok ?

Fingers crossed some more hatch today (hatch)

that liquid doesnt look too good Josh, there should be little or no liquid at hatch as the chick should have absorbed the egg yolk by then

Possibly caused by the high humidity

If the liquid dries out out may seal the egg - I have had this happen once :( if the chick is still moving after 24 hours I'd be tempted to whip it out and check that the liquid hasnt dried out trapping the chick

As long as the lid is open for a tiny amount of time it will be ok
