Blue-DiamondChick07
When I was at the farm collecting my Pekins, I noticed some brahma Hens and wow -stunning!! I would love one! but £50!!!? Are they generally an expensive hen? And does anyone know anything about them??
Guest
£50 for one !! Rip off. My breeder when he has them in sells his Dark Brahma girls for £35 I know just a bit less but still a good £15.
Troy
Here here, £35 is what I've seen them for. Never £50. But yes they are fab to have around and beautiful to look at. Very regal, some say daft I say aloof, but very friendly. I've been smitten too..... troy
tom123
The going price is roughly £40. I did sell a Gold hen at an auction once for £
Mollie333
They are beautiful, but i do agree that £50 is expensive, Pages Poultry is selling a Pair Buff Columbian Brahma's LF for £50, bargain, they are a lovely colour, too!
Blue-DiamondChick07
I am definatley tempted. I'd like a Buff Columbian ideally, need to see who sells them in Essex...
Goldstar
Google chickens for sale in Essex (although you ahve probably already done that). I know there is somewhere in Ardleigh that sells chickens, but not sure what sort. Also depends on whereabouts in Essex you are.
Blue-DiamondChick07
I'm in Basildon. I must be mad though! I already have 9 Hens but I'm just 'researching' at the mo
Goldstar
My hubby who this time last year said there was no way we were getting chickens (we have 3 goldlines now) has said that in the future we can get a bigger coop and run. So what is the first thing I do? Get on the computer and start looking at bigger coops. Always good to be prepared so when he says yes we can do it I am not spending hours looking I already have a list of possibilities.
Janty
I love my brahmas. I have a buff columbian, a blue partridge and three gold partridge (one's a miniature). They are the best birds ever....they are definitely in charge but discreetly. They don't have any agro in the run and they are friendly with all the other birds despite their huge size.
