Cinnamon
Hubby has hired a chap to come & tidy the garden for us (heck,it needs it!) Heard him strimming at 8.30 this morning,so went to look out of the window to see him helpfully strimming all round the raised beds....................taking the leafs off of my lovely Swedes & Turnips in the process. Note to self - plant upright crops at the end of the raised beds next year
Patricia W
I hope the chickens got to eat the tops - so some good can come of it! I do feel for you. I got someone to cut down some bushes and went out whilst he did it. Great job - except he butchered a honeysuckle cutting I'd be nurturing. I think its something to do with men and machines.... Bramble
I can sympathise! My mum used to have "a gardener" and I asked him once if he could prune an enormous sucker that was sprouting from one of Mum's roses. His response? "Sorry, I don't do roses" As they say, if you want something doing, DIY!!!
winterwren
I think its something to do with men and machines.... Tricia I found some interesting research the other day that showed a significant rise in testosterone in men when they handle power tools and the same when they are barbequeing! Can you imagine how dangerous men would be if they had a barbeque and a table of power tools at the same time?
