When do ducklings need to come off heat at night ?

Mine at 4 weeks old and almost fully feathered

Are they already off heat during the day? - if so you can either keep moving the lamp furhter away from the ducklings each night so they gradually get used to the lower temperature or if the nights are warm they will be fine once they are well enough feathered, you'll need to keep an eye on the forecast for overnight temperatures though.

 

Once they are off heat then you can start putting them outside in the day and bring them in at night for a few nights, before putting them out completely, try to choose some decent weather for that part of the procedure.

No they have been outside for 2 weeks with the heat lamp and an insulated house lol
