Lesley
Anyone fancy taking part in a virtual coffee morning? Would you like to take part in the Macmillan Cancer Relief's 'World's Biggest Coffee Morning' on Friday September 30th? This part on the forum is the easy part but I will have a look at the practicalities for the rest of it, such as the donations etc. What do you think? Lesley
That was quick KateA! - I was just about to ask Kate if she wanted to moderate and remove this topic. Wasn't sure if anyone would think it's not the right place?
Popcorn
I'd be interested too Lesely, although I'm back in Uni and will only be around in the afternoon....
Lesley
I'm sure if there's enough interest that we can extend the hours
Mrs Frugal
I'll give it a go if we can sort out what to do about donations! I'll have a lot of baking to do if everyone's coming!

Lesley
I think we should bake the 'BIGGEST' chocolate cake? We can post photos as well - everyone get some practise in! Edited October 4, 2005 by Guest
Mrs Frugal
I think we should bake the 'BIGGEST' chocolate cake? How's that going to work then ? Do we all bake chocolate cakes or all bake parts of a chocolate cake? If we did a chocolate sandwich cake each we could tot up all the layers and make it the highest chocolate cake - what do you think??? Guest
I think it's a fantastic idea - although my baking isn't very good - could I make something savoury instead? Anyone fancy some mini quiches made from home laid Belle eggs?
Louise
I don't like chocolate cake I know that isn't normal but sorry I can make something savoury as well for it as I don't really do sweet stuff
Popcorn
Can I bagsy doing a decoration for the top of the cake, as I'm not sure what my cake baking skills are like these days. I've shyed away from baking since being on the WW diet since 1992 Can I also bagsy Louise's slice of chocolate cake too
KateB
Sounds good to me - I'll be back at uni by then though and have lectures in the morning but I can bake a chocolate cake for the afternoon?
Lesley
I think the "'virtual' tallest cake" sounds good as long as we all post a photo. Doesn't have to be chocolate - multi layered cake will be fine! Those of you who don't like sweet things - could you just make one for someone else? It will use eggs!
