What makes a chicken coop easy to live with?

Hi My chickens will not use their glug and I have had to put an altrnative water container in their run to ensure they get enough. Does anyone else have/had this problem? Any suggestions on how to get them to drink form it? I am new to chicken keeping and don't want them to be deprived of water. Trudy

Mine won't use the super-glug which comes with the cube so i put it low down so they could drink out the top. Another cube has an eglu glug.

 

Use whatever works but they must have access to fresh water at all times.

I have 3 cubes and the chickens in 1 all use the super glug in another I have a normal waterer and the other 2 small glugs. I suggest that you use what ever works for you and your hens, you can lower the super glug so they can drink from the top but be careful that the nipples underneath don't touch the ground otherwise all the water leaks out.

New to chickens as well.

Cube arrived yesterday Monday 23 August, Built up straight away about 1.5 hours then went to get the chickens .My Chickens would not use the Glug either last night, so this morning I lowered it so they could see what was in it, They then started drinking, after 10 mins I started to raise it a couple of inches at a time.

Now no problem all are using it fine.

If you give them an easier option they wont use the superglug. If you want them ti use it remove any other water sources and give the superglug some taps so that water drips from the dispensers and the chickens catch on what to do and where the water comes from
