Tricky
Last week I checked to see how much an extension for my Eglu Classic would be.It was £45. I have checked today and it has shot up to £79. I rang the shop to check if was a misprint but it isn't.The reason for the price hike is down to the fact that they haven't increased the price for 6 years. I have checked the Cube run and that is still £100 so £79 for the classic run seems very excessive, especially considering the times we are living in. To my knowledge they haven't increased the cost of the eglu since I purchased mine in 2005. Based on Omlets reason for raising the cost of the run then the other Eglu products should also be rising. Perhaps Omlet could explain the reasoning behind an 80% price rise in the extension.

I don't understand, so they're raising the prices just because they haven't raised them for 6 years? Good thing I ordered my Go Door a couple of days ago. hopetofinish
I think the runs are expensive and have really bad access. For a product that is really popular, Omlet should listen to the feedback from its customers. I am awaiting a cube and my WIR.
Bramble
Quite by chance, I was fortunate enough to order my classic run at £49 and noticed the very next day that they'd gone up to nearly £80. I thought £49 was expensive and I thought long and hard before ordering, I'm really pleased with the extra space the girls have with the extension, but I have to say, I'm not 100% sure I would have ordered one at £79, with postage on top, that's a LOT of dosh. Would also have to say that my extension didn't come with enough clips to put it together, fortunately I'd already ordered some spares though that's not the point. I think Omlet need to be very careful?
Redwing
I'm not sure its terribly good form to criticise a company via a forum that they fund completely for our enjoyment.... Omlet have provided an explaination for the price rise as you have already mentioned. This has also already been discussed here so I will lock this thread now viewtopic.php?f=4&t=68016
