Hi,

 

My two light Sussex keep shaking their heads every couple of seconds, Apart from that they seem pretty healthy. Does anyone know what this could be and how to treat ?

I have treated them for mites with powder but it has made no difference. I think also my Wynandotte may also have the same thing.

I believe you need one of the products where you put a drop on the skin and will probably need a prescription. If you look in the threads about red mite it will give you details. It may be Invermectin but I'm not sure. I wouldn't put anything in the ear. Sorry not much help

There are some of these that you must get from a vet but Ivermectin is available 'over the counter' at some chicken supply places and certainly from the internet
