StripeyFeathers
After the whole ordering the eglu and then sending it back because H was made redundant the day it arrived saga, H decided that we shouldn't lose out on having chickens just because of his job. So he ordered a wooden coop with run (which saved a lot of money, even if it's not attractive plastic and blue ) and we now have 5 gorgeous girls living in it. All bar one are hybrids and are showing absolutely no signs whatsoever of laying anytime soon! Now we just need omlet to refund us the eglu money. It was collected nearly a fortnight ago and we still haven't had the refund The girls are lovely and our autistic son is now obsessed with them. They're the things he wants to see first in the morning, and the last things at night. Its been fantastic to see him smile like he does when he's watching them. The dog on the other hand is not so keen after getting pecked and the cats just think the coop is a perfect vantage point for surveying their kingdom!
