Hello again!

Yes, a few things have changed since we last spoke. Firstly, the character limit has decreased, you can now have a maximum of 400 characters, and secondly, the permittable size of photos has also decreased. Now pictures are limited to being 90 x 400 pixels or smaller.

If the problem is that there are too many characters, then your only option is to reduce the number of characters in your siggy :( . In your siggy there isn't much that can be changed without deleting chunks of it, but there are a few places where you could shorten things and people will still understand you, for example you could write 'RIR' instead of 'Rhode Island Red' and people will still understand.

If I remember correctly you had 4 photos in your signature, right? If that's the case, you could use Paint, Photoshop or a similar program to edit your four pictures together to create one big photo. That's what I did with all the photos in my sig. If you do that it means that you only have to type 1 URL instead of 4, and that drastically reduces the number of characters that you are using. :D Just a word of warning in advance though, if you're going to edit them together, do it in a straight line so that they're all in a row as opposed to in a 2 x 2 square. That way, it won't be too tall, as your pics are only allowed to be 90 pixels high.

After you've done that and uploaded the row of pics, if they're still to big you can modify them on Flickr before uploading them to the forum. If you go to Share this > Grab the HTML/BBCode (just like you do when you want to upload pictures to the forum via Flickr) then you can select the size you want before uploading. Make sure that you choose a size that is 90 pixels or fewer high, and 400 pixels or fewer wide.

Currently, the biggest viable option for my banner is 'Small', but as you can see, it's ridiculously tiny!

There are programs/ online tools which can compress photos to a specific size, so that you would be able to have your banner in the biggest size possible. I can't think of any programs off the top of my head, but a quick google will come up with one. :D

All these limits can be annoying at times but if people have huge signatures (... and I admit, mine is pretty huge!) It clogs up the pages and you have to scroll through huge blocks of signature just to read the posts. A lot of the time people's sigs are longer than their posts.

It looks like you're also having problems with your http://tags, too . Remove a set of them so that is on one side of the link and is on the other side. :D

 Phew. Please excuse any spelling mistakes. My fingers are cold!

Hello again!

Although from the looks of your siggy at the moment, the problem is your http://tags. Remove a set of them so that is on one side of the link and is on the other side.

Are you trying to show the photos, or provide a link to your Flickr account? Or both?

Hi I have done it LuckyChickenLover Thank you very much.

I had not heard that. :? Mind you, I was away from the forum for a few months so I probably missed it.

Was it this topic? I didn't really understand what they meant by that, because I don't know how you could post a link without URL tags :?

To create a link to Flickr, copy the URL from the top of the page. You can then paste it into your siggy or post. If you want to have clickable text instead of the URL, ie THIS instead of this: http://club.omlet.co.uk/forum/index.php , then click 'URL' above the text box. Then tpe something like this: Here should be the URL for the link[/color]]Here should be the text that you want displayed.

:D

And please don't think that you're a pain. You're really not :D

Can you try and click onto my Flickr site. I used to be able to but now I have to copy and paste. Perhaps it only happens on ones own but I am sure I read somewhere about the change.

Are you OK as you have been away form the site?

You used to be able to type a web address without the url tags and the forum would automaticly hyperlink them.
