chookwhisperer
I have just bought an extension to my eglu run , having come back from Thornes with 3 chickens rather than the 2 that I went for. Short of climbing in (not a pretty sight) or lifting the whole thing off its hardstanding, how can I keep it poo free? My chooks love dustbathing in the Auboise at the moment but I hope even they have their limits. chookwhisperer 1 Bluebelle Phoebe 1 Goldline Cassie 1 Silver Nick Tilly 2 cats Eddy & Tiger 1 geriatric rabbit Blacky
Doodledootoo
Long handled rake?
chookwhisperer
I've tried a rake but I seem to end up bringing the rest of the bedding with it so I have to dig around for the poo. Its tricky then to get the Auboise back again, especially with my 3 little girls helping me. My rake doesn't stretch to 3 metres. But thanks for the suggestion. Plum
Just a suggestion but never had an eglu so haven't tried it. What about hinging one side of the middle section at the top with lots of run clips then a few on the sides you can release then lift up that section to get in for cleaning
Guest
I don't have a eglu but what about putting a troul on the end of a broom handle
