dixie chick
Had a bit of a scare this evening! Went to lock up girlies and Lulu was missing - the fence around their 'secure' run is six feet high so I could not believe she could have flown out - her wing was clipped when we got her about six weeks ago. After much searching - with torches - i eventually spotted her roosting on top of one of the sweet-pea canes. She must have somehow escaped. Cant tell you how relieved I was to find her in one piece! Wing clipping again tomorrow!
CallyChook
We had one escape early on like that...unfortunately never found it. If it wasnt for the pile of poo I found on the wrong side of the fence, I had thought it might have been a fox, but nope, defo it was alive and kicking on the outside of the garden. Putting my 9 week old polands out today for the first time... and getting very worried about their first day out now!
Guest
My marsh daisies have had their wings clipped tonnes of times now they are confined to their massive WIR. It is a bit overated wing clipping the bird can jump so i leave it now.
