Little Eggs on Omlet Netting

Recommended Posts

Today I am doing the mega clean up and moving the chicken pen to another part of the garden to give the grass a rest. Our set up is a cube within an area enclosed by the omlet netting so that our chicken are always on grass and soil.

From my kitchen window I kept noticing that the chickens kept jumping up to catch something, thought nothing about it... but today when I was moving the netting noticed alot of clutches of grey or white eggs on the vertical parts of the netting. I started to quish them between my fingers but there are loads. :?

Anyone have any ideas of what creature has laid them and would it be adviseable to spray poultry shield or diatom on them? Will try and take a photo of them, at the moment the netting is laid down on the lawn and the girls are having a feast on the eggs.

Thanks in anticipation.
