meezers
Well, the auaracana was suppose to arrive as Dilbert left ( one way or the other)to make letting him go easier, but Bertie is still very much here.I've decided that I'll try to rehome him until he crows- if I'm not successful he'll be dinner OH is not being helpful, hypocrite that he is , he doesn't want Dilly to be culled - though he's quite happy to tuck into roast chicken on a sunday. Ah, can you not keep him I thought cockerels were OK where you live? Interestingly enough we found out that some neighbours actually miss hearing our boys Sunday and Dinner. Just a shame that not all of them felt that way

Interestingly enough we found out that some neighbours actually miss hearing our boys Sunday and Dinner. Just a shame that not all of them felt that way Well, it's a possibility. There are 4 cockerels in the village that I know of and you have to listen very hard to hear them. But, the other cockerels are in gardens belonging to detached houses and we are in a semi , so have one set of neighbours to consider. They are only renting though and haven't been there too long, so I may wait and see just how loud Dillys crow is . On the other hand, I never planned on keeping him and I'm not sure what use he'd be ( apart from nice to look at ) as I then wouldn't have the room to hatch and keep any more chicks.
