my mother just read me an article about this item from a german newspaper. i had to order one i just think it is soo cool. i don't know how much german is required to view this site, but the german manufacturer's web site is

note that the melodyit beeps when the egg is ready is the tune to a german song:

We still haven't worked out how the eggtimer from Omlet works any ideas anyone.

Thats fab! Its my birthday soon, will be dropping hints!

 

Sheila, you have to look down on the omlet egg timer and when then red turns black the egg is ready! (Up to the soft, med or hard line)

What a quick response, thanks Christian. We couldn't see a colour change, that's what I was looking for. But, I'll give it another try.

I kept thinking, oh, perhaps I broke it, I shouldn't have put it in boiling water....

It took a while to see the change but the eggs were cooked to perfection!
