aaronmusgrove123
Hi, I have 3 eggs in the incubater which will be hand raised by me, I also have 5 eggs outside under a broody however I don't know if i should let her raise them or once they've hatched bring them in with the others and raise them together, the reason I'm thinking against leaving them for the broody is because of the winter months coming in. I think it will be easier to have them all inside together, what are your thoughts ? Thanyou Aaron
miller30
Hi if it was me i would leave them for the broody to raise she should beable to keep them warm and it seems a bit mean to take them away after shes been sitting leanne. Griffin
She'll be distraught. After sitting for three long weeks it's really not fair on her for you to take her chicks away
Egluntyne
I'd leave them with the broody. Unless they are due to hatch within a few days of each other, there could be problems with squabbling chicks in the brooder.
Cheryl
I have six chicks that hatched two days ago they are so happy with their mummy I think it's better. She seems to be looking after them really well and compared ti raising them in a brooder inside this seems much better
craftyhunnypie
Leave with the broody - far easier & more natural for the chicks & you. I've not got a broody at the mo, so have had to resort to the incy & brooder option. But this time of year, I have more time to devote to that. Good luck Emma.x
