Mash!!

Recommended Posts

Hello Can anyone help with a feeding query? We have three lovely Light Sussex bantams (12weeks old) in our brilliant eglu. They love their growers pellets and corn and scratching around in the garden for bugs and slugs but turn their beaks up at any kitchen s"Ooops, word censored!"s we offer them! We have tried lettuce, cooked broccoli, cucumber and many other tasty(?) treats to no avail.

My mother, bless her, says that she remembers her mother cooking up a mash of kitchem leftovers for their hens during the war. However, there her memory failed her and I am none the wiser. How do I cook up a tempting, nourishing and s"Ooops, word censored!" using treat for Korma, Casserole and Kiev? What can I use and what should I not use? Any tips very welcome!

THANK YOU!

PS Love the little icons on the right - what do I do with those? (Sorry but I'm a confirmed Luddite!)

Hi,

Every weekend since i've had chooks i mixed them some Just add water Mr. Mash (29p a box from home & bargains) and add either a bit of Marmite or a boiled egg.

Both my girls loved it and Orakiah still gulps it down now.

I also mix in Verm-X pellets when it's time.Don't tell Orakiah :shh:
