I've heard two conflicting things about baytril this week.... One vet told me that you now cannot use the eggs at all as it has been found that a level of the medicine stays in the blood that is haloucinogenic to humans via there eggs and one said no eggs for at least a month?????

 

Has anyone else come across permanent egg withdrawal????

Wow that's a bit severe

 

My vet says 28 days withdrawal which is what she does with her own chooks eggs so that's good enough for me!

Thats sort of a nightmare. I have a girl in quarantine on Baytril for a week. Hopefully she will be back with the gang by Monday. I suppose I will have to get rid of everyones eggs as there is no way to telling which egg is which. 5 weeks though..
