Have got itunes downloaded and mastered the basics of getting tunes from PC to ipod. So now I am trying to organise my albums. I've previously used Windows Media and there seems to be several things it did that itunes can't or won't do, ie

1 allow a manual search for album artwork (it lost all the ones I had in Media when it converted the files);

2 Some albums have all the songs listed seperately, instead of being as one album (I have 20 Whitesnake tracks listed as seperate albums, when they should all be on one album )

 

Anyone have any idea where I can tidy it up? So far I don't like it as much as Media Player

Click the song and go to Get Info ... I think its Ctrl + I - can do pretty much everything there.

You can add the artwork that way

 

Ditto the Album - highlight all the songs, press Ctrl + I and add in the Album name, which will put them all together

Ah thank you Lewis! I've fianly discovered the info bit, but your instructions help even more! Isn't it frustrating getting used to a new programme!

I hate the itunes software with a passion, it's needlessly complicated. Nothing at all is straightforward.

Must admit I am surprised - I found the basic windows media player far easier to navigate and use
