So sorry to hear your sad news! I've been away for a week (my mum looked after the chickens and they were fine, even though I felt bad leaving them) so have only just seen the thread. We too got our girls about the same time. It must be so upsetting. But I hope your new girls are settling in well. What a roller-coaster ride you have had! Thoughts are with you x
