oxstu Posted April 28, 2007 Share Posted April 28, 2007 morning all Is it normal for chickens after they first start to lay not to then produce an egg for a couple of days? chocchick Posted April 28, 2007 Share Posted April 28, 2007 2 days is fine. They tend to stop over Winter, if moulting or if broody, and that could be a week or longer. Also, if they freerange at all, check the garden for hidden nests. I find Shellstim from www.Ascott.biz really helpful if they are having soft egg blips. It is expensive, but lasts ages.
