Gertie
I have to share my excitement with people who don't think I am mad by getting excited about a chicken coop! After months of waiting until I could be home for a delivery date...I am finally able to take delivery of my cube on Monday. I can't wait! I never would have believed I could get this excited about a chicken coop, but there you have it! It is supposed to arrive between 9am and 12pm. Fingers crossed that it does. Currently, after losing Blackberry last Monday I have only one hen. To keep her company in her new luxury house I have booked to collect 3 more hens from a nearby polutry place at 4pm so heres hoping that it all goes to plan! Not much longer to wait...! Gertie
Hi All I've managed (finally!!) to get the photos on, I hope they are not too big. It was getting dark when I got them home, so here are some slightly darks pics of their first steps! They managed to go up the ladder and in the coop with the help of the torch. Clever girls. They boccked loudly when they saw the cats. This is Rosemary - my exsisting Maran hen This is Nova - a Bovan Nera Estelle - a Bluebelle Luna - a Warren The Cube I will be introducing them to Rosemary when I am sure they are happy and healthy. Hen watching in the rain tomorrow I think!

Gertie
I'm really impressed with the cube. I'm so happy with it. With the tarp the hens are warm & dry. It was lovely watching them dustbathe even tho it was raining. They are so friendly too. I've been sitting on a flowerpot inside the cube run & Luna even jumped up on my lap. More hens & cube definitely a good move Once my new kitten has grown a bit I'll have an empty classic too...
