Redwing
We use wood and coal on our fire. The coal helps it burn longer and heats the upstairs bedroom by getting the chimney nice and hot We have a similar (but much less attractive) fire to yours and our chimney was easily opened up too Our log store is has a pallet floor, pallet back and sides and a wooden batten and tarp roof, one side has a pallet as a shelf too which makes stacking the logs easier on the back! I built it and it wouldnt appear in 'lovely woodstores monthly' but it does the job

Aunty e
My woodshed roof fell in last week under the weight of the snow (it was rotten and leaking as it happens), and I replaced it with clear corrugated plastic sheeting from Wickes - my hope is that at some point the sun will make it act like a greenhouse and dry out all the wood that got soggy when the roof fell in. The sheets were really cheap and easy to fix, very pleased with them. Would deffo use them rather than tarp if I was building my own woodshed.
