My pets (dog, cat, chickens) make my life complete. Although my elderly terrier (15) has been getting me up at between 4am and 5am every night. On Weds night, my MIL had him overnight so I could have a good nights sleep, however, a neigbourhood cat decided to freak the chooks out at 5am, so I had to get up anyway

I was once having an in-depth talk with the Equine Vet when my little StaffXWhippet trotted past with an entire Deer leg in her mouth, hoof s"Ooops, word censored!"ing along the ground... we lost the thread of the conversation somewhat!

 

that made me laugh! as conversation-stoppers go, it's a good one
