TheGirlsMum
Just had to tell you all our good news. The school entered a competition in the local paper to come up with a fund raising project and we ok go on then I came up with the idea of the children keeping chickens in a cube in the school environmental area and they could sell the eggs within school. They would be able to plan the whole project including costing and marketing etc. Well guess what? Today we found out they have won....not bad for only 47 children and whats more they have won £4000 so a full set up is possible including secure feed store So the next move is to order the cube, wonder if I'll be allowed to choose the colour? No doubt I'll be out voted of the purple

Ain't Nobody Here
Fantastic, well done . Now, who's going to get the job of cleaning all the poop up . (They'll know you're an expert!)
TheGirlsMum
The chickens are already waiting in my garden to go in the cube as they hatched out in the classroom earlier in the year. They are going to work out a rota for looking after them on a family basis, but I've a rough idea who will have to make sure it's all done

Calamity Jane
Well done! That is such a good idea. I'll bet the children loved watching the chicks hatch. Good luck. xx
