Dizzy-Deb
It was awful in Telford, Shropshire last night with very high winds.... was soooooo worried about the run last night and hardly slept as half expecting to hear a crash and bang from the run with it being on higher ground and so exposed. Thankfully it survived and was all in one piece this morning. Phew!! Have never know winds that bad in my area. Went out with the running club earlier and there is a hill we jog down... last night couldnt even walk down it. wind was raging up and slowing us down. It was like walking through glue... couldnt even yak as wind took your breath away. So pleased all was ok this morning... although the neighbours huge trampoline looked worse for wear! How did everyone else get on ? xx
Ain't Nobody Here
Mine is solid as a rock . Survived last year's gales so I was confident it'd be OK . Sadly, two of my rain blinds need repairing now though .
Plum
All fine here but OH screwed the run down with enormous bolts so I can't see an enormous slab of concrete blowing away Wish I could say the same for the pilot light for the boiler
tara
We had really strong winds l was worried the conservatory was going to blow down with me in it.My WIR is between 2 fences and a garage so was not to worried about that its all very thick wood and concreat floor. My ducks live with my 11 chickens they all go in there cube and eglu while the ducks have the freedom of the garage or being in the run normally they decide to sleep in the run but this morning there was no poo in the run thats how windy it was. Jules.
My run was ok- it's bolted down on all sides into paving slabs.
Aunty e
Was worried about mine, especilly the onduline roof, as some of it isn't screwed down as I couldn't reach. Thankfully, it's sheltered on two sides, being in the corner of the garden, and as it's also in a dip and surrounded by fences and trees, all was well. Phew! Dizzy-Deb
Ours is not screwed down so hopefully the weight of it helped to keep it grounded. I am giving serious thought though to planting some trees now to help act as some kind of windbreak for future. Was a very worrying night. Glad everyone elses ok.
