EGLU HEAT PROBLEMS

[beach chick]

just done a bit of housework out there, and I'm not sure I'm doing it right...

other people mention poo picking, but I never seem to see any in the aubiose! so I've raked it all up and spread it about again, just to give it a bit of a turn - does this sound ok? thanks

I'll be following this with interest ..........................

[Plum]

Don't know how you haven't found any, mine sort of dries in clumps but not as much in winter, the cube tray gets pretty full.

Just raking it through is fine but I would chuck the odd handful of Stalosanf down every so often to kill any eggs or nasties.

[Ain't Nobody Here]

I don't find a lot of poo on the floor of the WIR but I do have to scoop up quite a lot of poo that gets left on the branches/shelves/etc.

[Space Chick]

I never poo pick the run floors, but like ANH the tables need a regular clean. I change the hemcore on my run floor roughly every 3 weeks, and when the old stuff is removed I Stalosan the run floor before the new stuff goes down.

Hope this helps

well, having raked it all through yesterday, today I've chucked mug-fulls of stalosan everywhere. everything (including the rabbits' paws!) is now pink. I do see the odd poo, but honestly not enough to warrant poo picking everyday.

also did a 'lick and promise' cube clean today - emptied poo trays and nesting box, s"Ooops, word censored!"ed remnants off roosting bars, refilled with aubiose and lots of stalosan - too cold and potentially snowy to do much more
