The Dogmother
Saw this in The Mail today... no need to tell us how good eggs are for you: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/health/dietfitness.html?in_article_id=452282&in_page_id=1798
Lesley
Thanks Clare - I need to lose weight and use eggs - an ideal combination
Egluntyne
Had 2 boiled eggs for breakfast yesterday with toast on the strength of that article. I didn't feel hungry all morning so it must be true....but 14 eggs a week would do unspeakable things to the bowels I should think!
bronze
Must be why Mr Strong was so healthy
The Dogmother
I think that eggs are ok so long as you combine them with lots of fruit to counteract their 'binding qualities'. Before we went away, I decided to cut out carbs (cos I eat too much cake), so loosely followed the South Beach/GI plan that one of our directors has been on. Basically 2 weeks of no carbs, but loads of other stuff and fruit; BRILLIANT! cooked brekkie every morning! It was hard at first, but I've re-educated my eating habits and feel much better for it - bread and stuff leaves me feeling so bloated
Lesley
The article only mentions eggs - no mention of toast or soldiers
