Our chickens currently reside in a large walk in run on the allotment, out the back of the garden.

However, I'd love to have them in the garden, so that I can see them all the time.

The best area of the garden to have a wir is right next to the house, (so 2 sides of the run would be the house, if that makes sense.

I was just a bit worried that it might be annoying for the neighbours as we are terraced. They are very nice, so I doubt they'd complain or voice any concerns if I asked, so I thought I'd ask your opinions from your own experiences!

We also live in a terrace house and my girls are in the eglu and run right outside our back door. We haven't had any complaints yet

Mine are about 100m from my house but they are as close as I can get them as I live on a hill and they are on the flattest bit of garden. They are actually only about 25m from the neighbours but as the neighbours have chickens it is not a problem.

 

I would think you would be okay to move them nearer your house even if you only moved them over the winter.

Mine are about 3 metres from the house I'd estimate. My neighbours love them

With 16 that close to the house, I should be fine with my 10!

my WIR is 6ft from the back door and under a car port. My neighbour sleeps with her windows closed all year and says they do not disturb her

My chooks houses range from 6ft from the house to about 300m

 

I dont get any complaints but then many of my neighbours have hens and cockerels!

My WIR is about 3 feet from my kitchen window . I love being able to see them all the time and the neighbours haven't said anything, so I'm assuming they're not bothered .
