Eglu Cube Coop For Sale

Hi all,

 

I (My mum) bought a snugglesafe today from our local farm supply place.

 

Where abouts do i put it once it's warm?Do i put it in the poo tray or in the nest box (She sleeps on both at night)

 

 

Also on average how long does it last? on the pack it says upto 10 hours.

I would put it under their drinker during the day and see if that stops their water freezing rather than put it in the coop.

Yep under the drinker during the day and under the bars on a night, wrapped in a plastic bag to keep it clean, then the girls can choose to sit on it, near it or away from it, whichever they like. It does keep warm for 10 hours too, cooling down very very slowly so as not to give that horrible cold shock you get with a normal hottie. They are very good, and money well spent i think

As it's been getting colder i've been putting a small hot water bottle in the eglu on the roosting bars but in a place where it won't get pooed on

I put mine under the bars wrapped in newspaper when I lock them up then reheat it at 11-12pm to last until morning. Won't boil them but will take some of the chill out of the cube.
