wm030792
My omlet Go and three chieckens arrived on Wednesday and have settled in well. I can not get them to go in the coop at night and they are only going in there to lay eggs. I would welcome your advice please. Redwing
Hi and welcome When its getting dark try leaving a switched on torch inside the Eglu, they should go in then Once they are in shut the door and take the torch out After a while they will get the message and go in no problems Alternatively if you can reach them you can pop them in the Eglu but it will take them a little longer to get to grips with going in at night if you have to do that! Plum
Congratulations, did the torch trick work?
chickyhazel
The torch trick works for us, I think the maximum we have had to do it with 'newbies' is 3 times. As it has been very cold recently it is important to persuade them to go in.
