Smart Feeder - Light sensor values

Right, I know they are pekins, and thus temperamental little birdies - but I haven't had a single egg off any of my three since October. I've fed them, cleaned them out regularly, made hot mash for them when it was snowing - and this is how they repay me! Is there anything I can do to get things moving a bit, or do I just need to develop extra reserves of patience?

You won't see eggs till Spring. They are pure breeds, and go off lay over winter.

Thanks Egluntyne. My family keep making jokes about how we should be eating them if they're not laying! The big meanies.

Mine were laying until November when they started to moult. One (she was the first to lose her feathers) laid her usual bullet shaped egg on the 4th, but we haven't had any since.

Oh the joy of Pekins!!!!! One of mine has come back into lay, my other hen (Princess Layer - not) laid from March to May last year, went broody from May to October and since then stopped laying! They are just for show and a cuddle, token egg layers and as mad as a box of frogs!

Same here. Our Pekins laid fairly regularly from February to mid summer, when one became persistently broody. At this point the other came out in sympathy and laid only occasionally I don't reckon they'll start again till Feb as it's still very harsh & dark here. Hope the peke's have a better egg laying year
