I've had this thought that maybe if I 'fess up to my UFOs then maybe I'll feel shamed into finishing at least one?

In chronological order...

 

Cross Stitch Baby Sampler for ES. Started in May 2001. Have since had YS so want to use it for both. Only done a little bit.

 

Crochet ripple pattern blanket. Started in Oct 2009. Almost half finished.

 

Crochet shawl. Started Aug 2010. Only about a sixth done

 

Knitted cowl. Started in Jan 2011. Just started and one pattern repeat worked.

 

I think that's everything

 

I have started and finished lots of other projects but for some reason I've got stuck on these.

 

Anyone else want to join the 'I'm a crafter and I have unfinished works lurking in my crafting stash' group?

My name is Olly and I have an Aran jumper which is nearly 2 years old, about 12" of the back knitted and now I've forgotten where I was in the pattern.

 

When I turned out my knitting bag (I got a new one for Christmas! ) I was amazed to find two very fine crochet lace borders, each about 7/8 completed. In the sewing box I know there is half-finished blackwork embroidery kit.

 

I feel so much better for getting that off my chest, I'm going to start a rag rug next week ...

In my knitting box I have:

1 a half finished lacy, red tunic style jumper - started 20 years ago It's a size 14 and I'm nearer a size 20 these days!

2 Beige cardigan that I started knitting for work - 15 years ago

3 Patchwork quilt made by a friends Grandma that I was supposed to wad and quilt for her. She gave it to me 1 year ago She says no rush, but she'd like it before Grandma dies please

4 2 dog coats I am making for a friend - only had them a few months, so it's early days

5 Knitted socks for youngest son - very intermittent progress at present!

I've made a promise to myself to not start any new project until at least one UFO is completed. But which one? Think the baby sampler will be ready for my grandchildren though

I was going to say that 20 years must be the winner but you've reminded me that I have a skirt pattern pinned to fabric, and cut out, that must be nearly 25 years old - it's size 10.....and I'm not......

My UFO's

 

Fairisle style jumper, need to finish one sleeve, collar and sew up. started summer 2009.

 

Mittens, one knitted as far as the thumb and another (different pair) have cast on the stitches. Needed for the Winter.

 

Socks, two pairs on the go, both knitted down to the heel. started Spring 2009.

 

Jumper, sleeves needed sewing on to the body. I have tried it on and it is too small. started Winter 2009.

 

Christmas cards, approx 20 all in various stages of completion.
