I started a scarf for Ian before Christmas and while the main bit is finished, i still haven't got round to adding tassles but i bought some lovely wool on Saturday and a pattern book for beginners and was determined to finish something!

 

I've just finished this scarf in treble crochet with a flower at each end and I'm pretty pleased with it

it was done 'in the round' and i found it tricky but i think if i practice it I can get them a lot neater

Just finished a scarf for my hubbie that i started ages ago and a friend suggested it would look nice for a girl with flowers on so I'm making some flowers to add to it and keeping it for myself!

If it was me I'd just put them where I felt was pleasing to me. So my choice would be the second. They really show off well against the dark scarf and love the way you've put some colour in the tassels.

That scarf's fab. I really want to learn to crochet now. Maybe it'll be my project for this year I have done simple blankets in the past with help from my mum, fancy doing something like those flowers though

Re the flowers, i couldn't follow the pattern on my own, i had to get my mum to show me but now that she has, i'm getting the hang of it, i think!
