donald
Hi Not sure how to go about this but I ordered my relative for their birthday some flowers from the channel islands and they never turned up. I have only had one response to about four/five emails asking me to check the address was correct(it was) and I even told them if they could confirm the flowers were still en route I would be prepared to wait. However no communication so I have asked for a full refund. Can I ask my credit card company to assist in anyway to recover the amount, I paid on Mastercard Not sure what to do they were orderd on line thanks Donald
Chucky Mama
You should lodge a complaint with your card company. I had this with something that I ordered with my visa debit card. I would also do a web search on the company to see whether they have a bad reputation.
Egluntyne
I'd ring the card company first and ask their advice.
Willow
Ring your credit card company, they deal with this all the time. I had to ring Firstdirect recently to ask about this and the lady I spoke to was delightful. Very helpful and sympathetic. With her help I got the problem resolved without them needing to refund the money to the card (hopefully resolved money should be credited on the card by the retailer today )
Lydia
Definitely put a stop on the payment on your card. I ordered some things from Jane Norman that never arrived. Jane Norman were terrifically unhelpful and said I had to wait for x number of weeks before I 'apply' a refund. I did wait and completed their forms but also immediately rang the credit card company and they refunded my payment within days. One phone call and no charge. Jane Norman did eventually also refund me many many months later so it was simply a matter of one more call to the credit card company to to reverse their credit and everyone was happy. Lavenders_Blue
As above, ring your card company and explain what has happened. They will start a chargeback which involves them liaising with the retailer you bought from and refunding you. I have had to do this a couple of times and got my money back both times. It's very easy.
Shirl
The credit card protection is only enforceable if the flowers were over £100 so the card issuer probably won't have to do anything although they may as a gesture of good will. We bought several items from a company and Egg only gave us the money back for the items that were over £100.
